Syria Sports TV Biss Key on Express AM44 at 11.0°W 2021; Syria TV (Arabic:القناة الفضائية السورية), also known as Syrian Satellite Channel, is a satellite television channel owned by RTV Syria and broadcast throughout the world on various satellites. The television station is based in Damascus, Syria since 1995.

On September 5, 2012, Syrian Television Channels broadcast were broken off on Arabsat and Nilesat, including Syria TV. Syria TV and Syrian Drama TV broadcasts were stopped on Hotbird on October 22, 2012.

On May 26, 2013, Opposition forces opened fire on the Syria TV team near al-Daba’a village in the countryside of al-Qusayr in Homs province, injuring cameraman Asem al-Shaar.

Express AM44 at 11.0°W;

The Express AM44 is a communication satellite geostationary Russian built by JSC Information Satellite Systems (former NPO PM) in cooperation with Alcatel Space . It is located at the 11 degree west longitude orbital position and is owned by the state-owned Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC). The satellite was based on the MSS-2500-GSO platform (MSS-767) and its estimated lifespan is 12 years.

The satellite was successfully launched into space on 11 of February of 2009 , through a vehicle Proton-M / Briz-M from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan , along with the satellite Express MD1 . He had a launch mass of 2532 kg.

The Express AM44 is equipped with 10 transponders in C – band (40 MHz), 16 in Ku band (54 MHz) and one in the L band (1 MHz), with power improved features to provide digital television and radio services, access Internet , data transmission, video conferencing, VSAT as well as for presidential and government mobile communications. The satellite can be hosted in the Middle East and most of Russia , Europe , Africa , Asia and South America.
