Real Madrid vs AC Milan Match LIVE Football Score 08/08/2021

The two most successful teams in European Cup history will go head-to-head on Tuesday, as Real Madrid and AC Milan will face off in Dubai in a club friendly. Both teams have a combined 17 major European titles under their belts, with Los Blancos going into this match as the current UEFA Champions League holders and Club World Cup champions. The Rossoneri haven’t been nearly as successful in recent years but are building toward a bright future, and a friendly against the planet’s most in-form squad will be a fantastic learning experience for Filippo Inzaghi’s men.

The match will officially be billed as the final of the 2014 Dubai Challenge Cup, although this year’s edition of the “tournament” is little more than a single friendly, with the winner receiving bragging rights. Real and Milan are two of the absolute heavyweights of European football, but the two clubs have walked very different paths on their way to this friendly. While Los Blancos are nursing an incredible win streak and lead the La Liga table, Milan didn’t even qualify for European football this season. The Rossoneri currently sit seventh in Serie A, a far cry from the glory days of the previous decade. They still have a massive global following, however, and as shared by AS English, the match will be played in front of a packed house:

Real Madrid will this evening face off against AC Milan at the Wörthersee Stadion in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt (6:30pm CET). The contest pits teams with 20 European Cups to their name (13 for our club and the Italians’ seven crowns) in what will be Carlo Ancelotti’s men’s final run-out before the LaLiga curtain-raiser.

Following five weeks of pre-season preparations at Real Madrid City, two training matches, againgst Fuenlabrada and Rayo Vallecano, and a friendly run-out against Rangers, Madrid will today go in search of victory over AC Milan in a bid to head into next Saturday’s LaLiga opener against Alavés (10pm CET) in confident mood.

The two clubs come together for this friendly as they contribute to the fight against discrimination and racism in a match played under the slogan #AthletesVersus Cup.The clash has really caught the imagination in Klagenfurt, with fans snapping up all of the available tickets for the clash at the Wörthersee Stadion, an arena that was built for the EURO 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland.

The team’s preparations for the new season have been far from ideal due to the number of players that have been away following international commitments, but Carlo Ancelotti’s squad is now taking shape, with the new La Liga campaign beginning next weekend with a trip to Alaves.

News of Lionel Messi’s shock Barcelona exit has rocked the world of football, but Real Madrid have financial issues of their own and have only managed to make one signing this summer, bringing in David Alaba on a free transfer, with Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane both moving on.

For all of the criticism that came the team’s way last term, Los Blancos were only two points off champions Atletico Madrid and will believe that they can launch a strong challenge for the title this term.

The second most decorated side in Europe’s elite club competition will this season once compete in the Champions League after finishing as runners-up in the 2020/21 Serie A campaign. This game sees the Milan outfit continue their preparations ahead of their season opener against Sampdoria on 23 August. Stefano Pioli’s charges slipped to a penalty shoot-out defeat against Valencia in their latest pre-season test.

Real Madrid are back in action with another pre-season friendly this weekend as they take on AC Milan on Sunday. Both teams have impressive players in their ranks and have a point to prove in this fixture. AC Milan have shown tremendous improvement under Stefano Pioli and will want to prove their mettle this season. The Rossoneri can pack a punch on their day and will want to do their best to prepare for the new season. Real Madrid, on the other hand, lost out on the La Liga title to Atletico Madrid last season and have plenty of work to do this year. Los Blancos have a young squad and will need to make the most of their pre-season.
